Trojan Coupling Hydraulic Override (1-7/8 ONLY)

A galvanised Trojan hydraulic override (surge) coupling for braked trailers up to 2,500kg. It suits 1-7/8" towballs only and comes with a 3/4" master cylinder fitted, ready to connect to your trailer's hydraulic brake line.

Compatibility

• Towball: 1-7/8" only. For a 50mm towball, use the 50mm version of this coupling.
• Brakes: trailers with hydraulic brakes. For mechanical (cable) brakes, see the Trojan mechanical override coupling (1-7/8").
• Weight: up to 2,500kg. Heavier trailers need a braking system the driver controls from the cab; see electric braking systems.
• Drawbar: suits drawbars drilled to the common TC40 182 x 54mm pattern. Measure your existing hole centres before ordering.

Mounting bolts are not listed as included. Trojan sells a matching bolt kit, linked below.

Fitting notes

• Mount with four 12mm high-tensile bolts, as Trojan recommends.
• Tighten to Trojan's recommended torque for the bolt grade:

• Check the ball size stamped on your towball before you tow. This coupling will not lock safely onto a 50mm ball.
