It's based on your caravan or trailer's fully-loaded ball weight: 80–135kg needs the Intermediate kit, 135–275kg needs the 600lb kit, 275–365kg needs this 800lb kit, and 365–545kg needs the Super Heavy Duty kit. Weigh your trailer at a weighbridge or check your compliance plate if you're not sure, or use Hayman Reese's free online quiz to confirm.

Both cover the same 275–365kg ball weight range. The 28" bar suits trailers with a shorter drawbar; the 30" bar is the standard length. Get in touch if you're not sure which fits your trailer and we'll help you check.

It's optional but recommended, especially for larger caravans. A Friction Sway Controller suits ball weights up to 200kg and is easy to remove for reversing. A Dual Cam HP Sway Controller suits ball weights over 200kg and works proactively to prevent sway rather than just resisting it once it's started.

Only if there's a significant height difference between your towball and your trailer coupling. Hayman Reese cast shanks are available in 30mm, 95mm and 160mm drop, or a standard (no-drop) shank if your towball and coupling already line up.
