Tow Balls & Interchangeable Ball Kits

Getting the right tow ball fitted is critical — it needs to match both your tow bar's shank size and your trailer, boat, or caravan coupling's ball size. New Zealand has gradually shifted from the older 1-7/8" standard to 50mm, so many tow bars now need to serve both.

Interchangeable (multi-ball) kits let you swap ball size in seconds via a rotating or replaceable head — ideal if you tow more than one thing needing a different ball size. Our 2-ball kits cover 1-7/8" & 50mm; the 3-ball kit adds 2-5/16" as well. Note: multi-ball kits are not suitable as a replacement for the Highrise tow ball recommended for European stabiliser couplings, and are not suitable for bike racks.

High Rise tow balls (50mm, 7/8" or 1" shank) are the recommended choice for European stabiliser couplings.
