Towing without a weight distribution system can cause unnerving trailer sway, reduced steering and braking responsiveness, less traction, misaligned headlamps and — over time — reduced fuel economy and increased tyre wear.

The Intermediate kit is similar in design to the Mini system but uses a four-bar (4 x 19mm) setup, with a working range between 80kg and 135kg ball weight — ideal for small caravans.
