Bleeding after fitting: mount the master cylinder to the coupling bracket and connect the push rod to the park brake lever. Fill the reservoir to within 10mm of the top with fresh DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid, leaving the brake line disconnected. Gently work the lever (a partial stroke is usually enough) until fluid comes out of the port, then connect the brake line and bleed the brakes as normal. On four-wheel-braked trailers, bleed the wheels furthest from the master cylinder first. Brake hoses go in the lower caliper ports and bleed screws in the uppermost ports.
